KUCHING (DAY 2 ONWARDS)

Hello guys!

Today’s post will be about KUCHING again.

DAY 2
Rented a car from http://kuchingcarrental.com/
(Service is very good. Called them last minute around 10.30pm the night before and get the car next morning at 9am)

Why last minute? Because the one we booked initially didn't turn up when they promise to send the car over 9pm in the previous night.

KUCHING TRIP (DAY 1)

Hello guys! I’m back.

Today’s post will be KUCHING.

Experience is more valuable even though it is only a small city.

Hotel : ARIVA GATEWAY
Booked it from Agoda.com website, you can just check their price there.

Arrived at Kuching around 9.30AM and took a cab to the hotel.

P/S : I can hardly tell if the food taste good, but if it’s not my thing then I will stop eating.

CHONG CHOON CAFÉ
Lot 121, Jalan Abell, Section 3, 93100 Kuching
 Sarawak Laksa

Popiah - Not my thing

CHINATOWN INN, KUCHING
117, Jalan Padungan, 93100 Kuching

SONG KHENG HAI HAWKER CENTRE
Lorong 15, Off Jalan Padungan

Sugarcane coconut (Stall 1) – Very refreshing drinks. Highly recommend.
Kong Pia (Stall 7)
Belacan Bee Hoon (Stall 26) – Not my thing.
Next destination : TUN JUGAH SHOPPING COMPLEX, SARAWAK PLAZA

The malls are very small that you can finish both of them in less than an hour. Thankfully, there’s one Popular Bookstore in Tun Jugah Shopping Complex so we spent our time wandering around the bookstore.

After getting enough rest at the hotel, we went to another mall nearby around 5pm which is HILL SHOPPING MALLS. Still a very small mall and we finished it quite fast. Then we walked to KUCHING WATERFRONT for some sight-seeing before we go for dinner. Since it is only 5.45pm that time, we paid a total of RM40 for two and hop on the boat for sunset as told by boat driver? No sunsets because the sun is covered by the trees but we had fun just by relaxing inside the boat. By the way, it takes approximately one hour.

It’s 6.45pm when we’re done then we looked for the restaurant for our dinner which is KHATULISTIWA CAFÉ RESTAURANT. We just have to walk along the Waterfront and you will see it. BUT! It was closed down. Then what? Look into google maps again to see if there is restaurant nearby for dinner and we found TOPSPOT SEAFOOD (Stall 25). I actually see many people recommend this place in the web but since Sabah itself is famous with seafood so I skipped it in my itinerary. Since there were no other choice, we just give it a try.

Butter Prawn
The butter sauce was good but the prawn I can’t say it’s not fresh because it doesn’t smells, it’s just that the sweetness of the prawn is not there.
Cheese Mussels
Sour & Spicy Soup?
I don’t know what this vegetable called in English.
Coconut water

The end of Day 1. Link to Day 2 down below. :)
